The Mas O Menos 100k, a USA Cycling-sanctioned mountain bike marathon, was held on Feb. 15 in Terlingua, Texas. The rough translation of mas o menos into English is “more or less.” In a 100k race, there’s a lot more mas than menos. Bryan Fawley has the most “mas,” winning the professional division with a time of 4 hours, 8 minutes and 5 seconds. Rebeccas Rusch won the women’s pro division in 4:45:25. The race also featured a number of Masters categories. Elliot McKinney took the men’s 30-39 bracket in 4:29:58. Leslie Reuter won the women’s 30-39 in 5:34:34. Freddy Moore placed first in the men’s 40-49 bracket in 4:49:23, and Tammy Killebrew won the women’s 40-99 division in 5:52:21. Dave Kraig won the men’s 50’59 in 5:12:41.
